The future is green

Regenergy Frövi is an internationally unique establishment that creates hundreds of new green jobs in the Örebro region. The green industry project is an important first step in establishing a circular business model in Swedish industry, which in turn leads to great sustainability gains and takes the circular industry and the regenerative solutions into the future. The project will facilitate an increased production of Swedish food, which will really contribute to a necessary increase of Sweden’s degree of self-sufficiency.

52 acres that create new work opportunities in a green industry

Regenergy Frövi will be a 52 acre – or closer to 40 football pitches – large circular production area for large-scale tomato-growing and land-based farming of king prawns. For the operation of the giant greenhouses and the shrimp farm, waste heat from Billerud will be used, which will bring water back to the production of the mill. The project is led by the Swedish company WA3RM and constitutes a new green era in Frövi and the municipality of Lindesberg. The large-scale investment is an impetus in Lindesberg’s journey to become a showroom for sustainable development and a pioneer for how the green jobs of the future can be created in Sweden.
